Flexibility and labor law, a contradiction or the future of work?

“Webinar/Talk”

Flexibility and labor law

The future of work
Platforms such as Uber or Mjam advertise their workers with maximum flexibility — but in return, they must forego some basic rights, whether paid vacation or sick leave, even minimum wages or working time regulations do not apply. In return, there is supposedly the opportunity to work when and for as long as you want — in theory. If there are no shifts, then you can't earn anything, there are no assignments, if you're available but don't get paid for it. As an employee, you have no influence on either, but you have the opportunity not to work then. Nice new working environment?
