Happy New Year everyone! Just as it should be in the country of a functioning social partnership, we are pleased to receive Christmas bonuses in December and again in January to somewhat improved working conditions - especially in sectors where there are also many and committed trade union members and strong works councils.
The negotiating team Vida & RidersCollective proudly announces the good news for all Radbots with a real employment contract:
The 2022 collective agreement for cycling bots!
Since January 1, 2022, the new collective agreement has been in force, which I have already here I announced with the following improvements:
+ 3.5% wage increase
Instead of €8.90, the minimum hourly wage is now €9.21, or the minimum gross wage for a full-time position is 1596.27€ per month, or
Full-time gross annual wage excluding km money: at least 22,347.88€
+ Normal working hours: 5 days a week
Our job is tough and exhausting. We carry heavy loads on our backs, travel hundreds of kilometers a week and transport even more hundreds of kilograms of loads on our backs. We also have to get away from this, which is why our normal working hours must now be divided into a maximum of 5 days. This means that if we are supposed to work on a 6th day, we get an overtime supplement for that 6th day.
+ 50% supplement on Sundays
You don't have to be a Christian to honor Sunday: It is the day when most people have time. It is a day together for family and friends, for leisure and relaxation. Of course, it could be any other day, but in Austria it is Sunday, whether you believe in God or just in the trade union. That's why we finally get a 50% Sunday supplement, which we can enjoy in money or as time compensation.
Hopefully, you will soon find the details and exact wording on the WKO website as usual.
But that's not all: There will be a working group where employers, the Chamber of Commerce, trade union and representatives of Radbots can jointly discuss and plan solutions on further framework issues of the collective agreement, such as flexible working time models or safety and health issues.
